Rocky Ridge Brewery are dedicated to producing sustainable beer as part of their “Greener Pastures” initiative. The brewery, located in Jindong Western Australia, required a renewable energy solution in order to realise their commitment to becoming a fully carbon neutral and sustainable operation.
A solution consisting of a 73kWh Tesvolt lithium battery system, which will support and balance a solar array, was designed and project managed by Unlimited Energy Australia working with local installer Innovative Energy Solutions.
The Tesvolt energy storage system and PV array provide reliable energy day and night, transforming the brewery’s energy supply into a truly off-grid self sustaining system. The existing on site diesel generator can now rest in back up mode to be used for shorter periods of time as and when needed.
The switch from diesel to solar and Tesvolt battery storage offsets approximately 100 tonnes of CO2 production for every year of operation in addition to the operational cost savings realised by being entirely energy independent.
